I love Hara Kazuo's films, and I really respect him, but our approach to the subjects are almost the opposite.
Hara tries to use his camera as a weapon to dig out subject's inner world almost violently, but my approach is that I try to stay as invisible as possible so that I can capture the unconscious behaviors of my subjects.
Hi. Big fan. Could you comment on your views of Hara Kazuo and what influence his work might have had on you? Thanks!
