CAMPAIGN's CAMPAIGN 「選挙」のキャンペーン

僕が監督・製作・撮影・録音・編集をしたワンマン自主制作ドキュメンタリー映画「選挙」。英語の題名は「CAMPAIGN」だが、それを世に送り出す為のCAMPAIGNはもう既に水面下で始まっている。幸いな事に、来年２月のベルリン映画祭フォーラム部門でのワールドプレミアが決まっている。それを皮切りに世界中の映画祭を巡り、各地で配給会社を探すことになるだろう。映画は人々に観られて初めて完成する。観てくれた人それぞれの中で、それぞれの「選挙」が完成する。そのとりとめのない感じが、映画の楽しさでもあり、怖さなのだと思う。

A feature documentary movie CAMPAIGN (SENKYO) is directed, produced, shot, and edited by me. It is my self-produced, one-man operation endeavor. And the CAMPAIGN's campaign has already begun. I'm now prepraring for its world premiere at Berlin Interenational Film Festival in February 2007. Starting from Berlin, I'm planning to show it at numerous festivals around the world looking for its audience and distributors. A movie completes only when it gets seen by somebody. And that somebody will have his/her own way of interpreting CAMPAIGN (SENKYO) beyond my control. It's kind of scary, but that's exactly why it's so much fun to make a movie.
